this version saves money (less counter top square footage, no more wooden box, one main plumbing wall) and i think just works better. or at least it is getting there. it is certainly easier to deal with the prefab kitchen units form IKEA without corners. still some things to flush out, but this just seems right. a big thanks to all the talented ladies at cannon today for input! and everyone else who has weighed in as well. it really helps to get outside opinion. it is harder than i expected to be so closely tied to the entirety of the project... as usual, let us know what you think.
oh, and here's a shot of the handsome builder hanging around the house... i have more photos to post soon.... i've just been trying to get these plans worked out. oh, and keep your fingers crossed that we hear from the bank tomorrow about how much money they're giving us. anxiety at it's best.
